Delamere Forest by Mike Lloyd

An ancient forest and wetland area, Delamere Forest in Cheshire is approximately 10 square kilometres of old trees and wetlands originally drained by Napoleonic war prisoners but now being reflooded to create wider biodiversity. Delamere Forest is a project capturing the seasonal and climatic change during 12 months and the subject of my successful ARPS ( Fine Art ) distinction.

Delamere, which is managed by the Forestry Commission, covers an area of 972 hectares making it the largest area of woodland in the county. The area also includes Blakemere Moss, a lake around 1 kilometre in length.
